A great time was had by all with over 300 families joining this year. The entertainment by Miss Molly was fantastic and Saint Nick made an appearance with some special goft for the kids. A great turkey dinner was served and everyone left feeling full with Christmas Cheer.

I know you’re excited about the 2012 Great Strides Walk. You are encouraged to join “Team Kin” again this year.
Please read the information and then click on the link below to get involved in this event to raise funds for Cystic Fibrosis. Our Team fundraising goal is set at $15,000 ($14,000 raised in 2011). The more the merrier and there is no limit to the amount of team members.
The Calgary Kinsmen are pleased to offer local students at the post-secondary level, to apply for a Kin Canada Bursary.
Students who are, or will be, attending a recognized post-secondary institution during the 2012-2013 school year, are encouraged to apply for the $1,000 bursary. Applications must be post marked Feb. 1, 2012, and can be downloaded at www.bursary.ca.
Bursaries are awarded to students based on financial need, community and school involvement, and knowledge of Kin Canada. Successful applicants will be notified by June 2012. Kin Canada established the Kin Canada Bursaries, a program of the Hal Rogers Endowment Fund, in memory of Hal Rogers, the Association's founder. Rogers passed away in September 1994 at the age of 95. Its purpose is to promote, encourage and sponsor educational programs and activities.
Throughout his life, Hal Rogers believed in the value of education. In his own words, "providing and promoting the finest and most effective education possible for our young people" was a noble endeavor.
The Christmas season is now over. The lights are all down after a long day’s work. Now it is time to announce the winners of the Lighten up Calgary Contest.
This lottery was conducted in 2011. However we did not have enough participation to complete the awarding of the Prize and subsequntly had to refund all monies to ticketholders.
