2020 Volunteer Information
Thank you to all of our 2019 volunteers! Volunteers like you made the 2019 Wheels Lottery a fantastic success. Your dedication and generosity helped the Kinsmen Club of Calgary raise more than $500,000 for the community including local Programs & charities:
Kinsmen Wheels is a combination of six different vehicle raffles sold all over the park during the Calgary Stampede. This year’s Lottery will include the Split‘em 50 raffle. Each seller will have 50/50 tickets to sell as an add-on and should allow us to put even more funding back into the Calgary community.
Truck & 5th Wheel, Truck & Toys, Truck & Boat,
Corvette Stingray, Harley Davidson , 2020 Truck and Split’em 50
There are two positions available for volunteers: Sellers . The process is quite simple.
- Sellers: If you are in a selling booth your job is to persuade park goers to buy your tickets. For some selling may seem intimidating, however, at Stampede a large number of patrons come to the park to see a show and get their tickets! Once sold you direct them to your fellow volunteers in a nearby printer booth.
- This process is now TICKETLESS, you will be provided with an Ipad and will collect the data the customers. Customer will then either recieve a printout with their ticket numbers or get an email outlining the same info.
Most days have two shifts: – afternoon from 11am – 5:30 and evening from 5:30 – 12am.
On Value days we there will be 3 shifts - 9am - 1:30pm, 1:30pm – 5:30pm and 5:30pm - 12am Sunday July 7, Tuesday July 9 and Wednesday July 10
New volunteers can sign up by downloading a shift sheet by clicking the picture below and e-mailing it to us at email@example.com.
All of our Volunteers get passes to the Stampede grounds. Since you’re getting in free why not come down early or stay late and enjoy the show! Either way, please report to our office 45 - 60 Minutes before your shift in the Big 4 through the main entrance by Mavericks.
Our Kinsmen volunteers will provide training, support, drinks and a snack and of course encouragement. Draws for the prizes are made the Wednesday after Stampede and yes we will know who sold the winning tickets. The Wheels Lottery is run entirely by volunteers like you. Volunteering requires nothing but a good attitude: there’s no cost, no experience needed, and no liability. Whether you can work just one shift or every day of Stampede, we need you. Starting with Sneak-a-Peek on Thursday July 2 through Sunday July 12, show your community spirit, dress Western, and pitch in.
Wheels 2020 features better prizes, new booths and more fun than ever before. Bring out your Inner Carnie and be part of the Greatest Outdoor Show on Earth.
