2023 Volunteer Information

Thank you to all of our 2021 volunteers! Volunteers like you made the 2022 Wheels Lottery a fantastic success. Your dedication and generosity helped the Kinsmen Club of Calgary raise more than $500,000 for the community including local Programs & charities.

Kinsmen Millions is a one raffle being sold by volunteers all over the park during the Calgary Stampede (and online prior to Stampede). All sellers will be able to sell every tickets for every prize available on grounds (Kinsmen, Rotary & 50/50)

There is 1 position available for volunteers: Sellers . The process is quite simple.

Sellers: If you are in a selling booth your job is to persuade park goers to buy your tickets. For some selling may seem intimidating, however, at Stampede a large number of patrons come to the park to see a show and get their tickets!
This process is now TICKETLESS, you will be provided with an Ipad and will collect the data the customers. Customer will then either receive a printout with their ticket numbers or get an email outlining the same info.

Most days have three shifts: – morning: 11am-3:30pm, afternoon from 3:00pm – 7:30 and evening from 7:00 – 12am.

Sneak-A-Peak is 5:00pm - 12am Thursday July 6

On Value days we there will be 3 shifts - 9am - 3:30pm, 3:00pm – 7:30pm and 7:00pm - 12am Sunday July 9, Tuesday July 11 & Wednesday July 12

All of our Volunteers get passes to the Stampede grounds. Please report to our office 15 Minutes before your shift in the Big 4 through the main entrance by Mavericks. We will be booking staggered entry times for our volunteers to reduce congestion in the office during check in. This schedule will be sent to you electronically.
Our Kinsmen volunteers will provide training, support, drinks and a snack and of course encouragement. Draws for the prizes are made on Wednesday, July 19 @ 10:00am) and yes we will know who sold the winning tickets. The Wheels Lottery is run entirely by volunteers like you. Volunteering requires nothing but a good attitude: there’s no cost, no experience needed, and no liability. Whether you can work just one shift or every day of Stampede, we need you. Starting with Sneak-a-Peek on Thursday July 6 through Sunday July 16, show your community spirit, dress Western, and pitch in.
